Projects

We have taken several projects since the inception of our organization. We have conducted 4 cultural meets for the Mentally Handicapped in which we have conducted competitions for them in various events like drawing and painting, singing, fancy dress competitions, Quiz and Exhibition of Articles made by them. In those 4 cultural meets more than 300 Mentally Handicapped participated and made them successful.

We have conducted surveys in the nearby villages and identified the M.R and disabled and provided them referral service and training. We have identified semi-educated and uneducated unemployed youth below poverty line in the rural area of Gaganpahad Budwel of Rajendranagar Mandal, Ranga Reddy dist. And gave them training in vocational skills namely making envelopes, files/pads and surf along with mentally handicapped in our institute.

We have conducted survey in Gattapally Village of Maheshwaram Mandal of R.R.Dist and identified the MR in that area and identified their needs. We started a special school for them there. We are planning to establish residential homes in which we are planning to provide permanent care for the Mentally Handicapped.

Our projects:

Integrated project for the mentally handicapped persons in the vocational mainstream with community based rehabilitation approach:

We had taken up a vocational training project for the mentally challenged clubbing them with unemployed rural youth with normal intelligence with the aid of apart. We undertook this project in a nearby rural area in the Maheshwaram Mandal of Rangareddy district. We conducted a door to door survey and based on the obtained, we selected our target group who are clubbed with our disabled adults and are provided vocational training in the Book-binding, Candle making and surf and phenyl making. This project was of one-year duration.

This project apart from the direct benefit of vocational training, paved the way for empathetic understanding about the disabled.

Present scenario:

We are running our projects in three rented buildings separated by a walk able distance. We have hired Three autos and Tempo autos, for transportation, as we do not have any transportation.

Our upcoming projects:

We are planning to provide lifelong care for these children in our residential home which shall reduce the worries of their parents about their care next to them.

We are planning to concentrate our affords on Maheshwaram/Shamshabad Mandals as we have discovered that a lot many disabled population is present in that mandals who are not getting any aid /training due to many reasons like backwardness of the area, non availability of institutions working in this field, poverty and so..on.

Hence, we have decided to work towards the progress of that area as well as the rehabilitation of the disabled in that area.

We are going to start small, individual projects, which will be helpful in the development of the people and that area. We are also starting our rehabilitation centres with the collaboration of local community in that area.

Once we establish a good rapport and friendly relationship with the local community, we are planning to start much more bigger project in that area.

The gist of our project is that we are going adopt the mandal, identify their local problems, coordinate with the health centers and strive for the solution providing the basic necessities to them, like basic education, water, electricity, and telephone facilities, etc.,

In the mandal, we shall establish our residential cum rehabilitation center. We shall have our children trained in the local trades. We shall arrange for the optimum utilization of local resources for their training and later they shall be placed in the local trades and are supervised. We shall work towards overall development of the people and that area by focusing our concern towards the local problems, and how we can overcome them.

In this process, we have taken up a vocational training project for the educationally backward minorities in Maheshwaram mandal, R.R. District
