Special education center:
Here, the mentally challenged children who are
below 15 years are given special training, which
forms the basis for the vocational training to
be given in their later life.

Vocational Training Center:
The persons above 17 years are given vocational
training keeping in view their interests and
potentials. The Trades selected are mechanical
and demand minimum decision-making. This
training enhances their self reliance and paves
the way for their less dependent future.

The children between 14 and 16 years are given
Pre-vocational training, which help their
transformation from school to work.
Residential
It is a home away from home. We have children,
adolescents, and adults of different age groups
and severity levels of mental retardation. It
provides a homely environment and the inwards
are given maximum freedom as at their homes.
Here, the adults are trained to take up the
responsibility of the younger ones in their
daily routine.

Accommodation
At present we have rented Three buildings, one
for special school, office / consultation,
vocational training center and the other for
residential care of these children.
Transport
At present, we are having Three and Tempo on a
hire basis for the transport facility of our
children.
Staff
We are maintaining a teacher student ratio of 1:
8 from beginning. We have 4 trained special
educators, 1 vocational instructor and 6 Asst.
teachers, a speech therapist, a physiotherapist,
Medical Doctor / Psychairst, Clinical
Psychologist, a music teacher, a cook, a Helper,
five ayahs, a watchman and a medical doctor for
the training and rehabilitation of these
children. |
